How to travel from Chiang Mai to Pai Cherkaew
By plane:
Travelling by plane is the fastest way to get to Pai (approximately 20 minutes). Wisdom Airway offers short flights from Chiang Mai to Pai Airport. We suggest you book a plane ticket for at least 7 days in advance. From Pai Airport to our hotel is 2 km or 5 minutes by car.
By public bus:
The public bus takes around 4 hours, depending on the traffic. There are approximately 5 trips per day, which run from the Arcade Bus Station. Unlike the minibuses, there is no need to book your tickets in advance, except for the holiday and peak seasons. Once you reach Pai Bus Station, it only takes 5 minutes by walking to our hotel.
By minivan service:
Prempracha and AYA Service offer hourly departures from Pai, available from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm daily. AYA terminates outside their office, but also offers a pick-up service at your hotel in Chiang Mai’s Old Town. On the other hand, Prempracha terminates at Arcade Bus Station. You can book Prempracha’s seats online and make payment at 7-eleven, while AYA requires the reservation via its authorized travel agencies. Once you reach Pai Bus Station, it only takes 5 minutes by walking to our hotel.
By private taxi service (Compact sedan):
– From Chiang Mai Airport
If you’d like to travel more privately, a taxi service is available at 2,500 Baht per ride. The driver will pick you up from Chiang Mai Airport and take you directly to our hotel. – From Pai Airport
A private taxi service from Pai Airport to our hotel costs 150 Baht per ride. The reservation can be made with our hotel, and booking in advance is required. (Please submit the form here and we will contact you back shortly)
